An Intimate Destination Wedding in Mexico City

A story of trust, connection, and capturing memories that truly matter.

Planning a wedding from afar always comes with its own unique set of challenges. Finding the right vendors — the people who will help bring your day to life — isn’t just about researching portfolios and checking boxes. It’s about building trust, feeling seen, and knowing you’re understood with strangers who will be part of one of the most important moments of your life. From the first message to cultural differences, communication styles, and time zones… destination weddings often require a leap of faith and how each couple navigates that process says a lot about what they truly value.

We met Alanna and Cristian through a friend recommendation, a connection that nether them and us will know will impact beautifully on their wedding day. They weren’t just looking for people to show up and take photos — they were looking for collaborators they could connect with, people who could understand the emotion behind the decisions, and who would respect the intimacy of the day.

That connection — built slowly through messages, calls, and trust — made all the difference, the casual photoshoot on the streets of downtown Mexico City created a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could be themselves. We enjoyed exploring every corner, and that's reflected in every photograph. Sharing this time gave space for honesty, vulnerability, and presence and for us, this photoshoot made the wedding day flow.

We’re constantly reminded that good images don’t just come from good light — they come from good energy. And with Alanna and Cristian, everything just felt right.

Why Intimate Weddings Make an Impact

When a couple chooses to keep things small, it often brings everything closer: the moments, the people, the emotions. There's more space to breathe, to be present, to truly feel each part of the day. And for us that kind of intimacy gives us something precious — access to genuine connection.

To match that energy, we worked as a hybrid photo and video team of just two — intentionally small and discreet. No large crew, no staged moments. Just genuine documentation of a beautiful, emotional day, we were able to deliver a short film that told their story from beginning to end, capturing all the real moments with care and style.

This hybrid format is something we truly believe in for destination and intimate weddings. It provides both photography and video coverage, while respecting the flow and privacy that smaller celebrations often need.

Mexico City as the Perfect Backdrop

Mexico City offered them a rich, layered canvas to tell their story — a blend of quiet corners, historic textures, vibrant colors, and intimate spaces that felt both grounded and cinematic. The day unfolded like a perfectly paced film: getting ready in a beautiful boutique hotel Casa Cibeles, followed by an emotional first look in the charming streets of the iconic Roma neighborhood. Their couple session flowed naturally through Parque México and tree-lined avenues in Condesa neighborhood, leading to a heartfelt ceremony on the rooftop of Maison Mexico emblematic boutique hotel. After cocktails at a stunning El Bar within the same venue, they walked the streets hand in hand, serenaded by mariachi, all the way to the stylish Puerto Prendes for their reception. The city didn’t just host their celebration — it became part of their story.

And as with any destination wedding, once the day is over, what remains are the memories — and the way they were preserved.

That’s why photo and video aren’t just keepsakes, they’re the legacy of how it all felt.

Alanna and Cristian’s wedding reminded us of why we love what we do.

When everything is aligned — the couple, the place, the energy — we get to create something that doesn’t just look beautiful, but feels alive.

If you're planning a destination wedding in Mexico City and hoping for a calm, personal, and meaningful celebration, we’d love to help you tell that story — quietly, honestly, and with intention.
